Perinatal Counselling

In our counselling room you will find a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space to explore challenges in your life. As parenthood occurs within the context of a relationship with your infant and partner or support network, these important individuals may also be involved in therapy sessions. Please know that your infant is always welcome to join us when we meet. Through the process you can expect to be respected and supported by a means that feels comfortable for you. For some this is through talk therapy, for others it may involve expressive therapies such as art and symbol work.

Parent Coaching

Sometimes early challenges such as separation, medical complications, trauma, or other challenges may impact on the parent-child bond. There may also be age specific challenges or circumstances that you feel you need guidance around.

Through parent coaching sessions you are supported to find a way of understanding your child’s behaviour in the context of brain development, family dynamics and social context. We will explore your own role and reactions and create personalised tools to aid repair and develop deeper connection between you and your child. These tools are centred around creating trust and valuing the needs of both the child and parent.
