Louella Covich psychologist

I’m Louella, a registered psychologist. I have worked with children, adolescents and families on the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore for over 15 years.

I believe in working with your strengths and provide a safe, and non-judgmental space to explore challenges in your life. I believe that when we feel calm and relaxed we are most able to engage with what our minds and hearts need to achieve.

Life with a new baby can be very different from what we imagine! As a parent of two young children, I recognise that there are many bumps, some small, some not so small, in the transition to becoming a parent.

You, your family and baby are welcome to meet with me in a beautiful and enriching therapeutic space, nestled amongst the serene backdrop of North Head Sanctuary, Manly. Informed by attachment theory and inter-personal neurobiology, I believe in creating a therapeutic experience that works best for you, based on a variety of evidence based approaches.

I love working with parents through challenges and helping to facilitate a joyful connected experience between you and your infant. Through my extensive work with children and families, I have a passion for therapeutic play and a special interest in facilitating bonding through play. I also enjoy helping children adjust to new siblings and changed family dynamics.

It is my privilege to be considered to walk alongside you in your journey, whether you are at the stage of pre-conception, pregnancy or in the early stages of life with your infant. For me I believe that feeling comfortable and accepted in therapy is of great importance. I invite you to an initial 20 minute phone consultation to explore what we can achieve together.
